The EU has a troubled relationship with Russia but along the border the situation is even more complex.In north east Estonia many of the population are ethnic Russian, often with close family and cultural ties to their close neighbour. Since 2014 and especially after the invasion of Ukraine many have had to grapple with where their loyalties lie.
